The days when I painted my walls in colorful colors are long gone. For a few years now, I have simply left them white. However, I like the trend towards unusual, but at the same time classic wallpapers. Especially the dessins from the British label Little Greene did it to me. The new collection "Archive Trails" was inspired by historical archives of English and French wallpapers with tendril patterns.

Flower vines were the decorative basic theme of wall design long before the invention of mechanical wallpaper production – traditionally, the scenes depicted in the early 18th century were painted by hand and were originally individual murals

Little Greene cleverly adapts the patterns and colours of old wallpaper designs to the furnishing style of the 21st century

The "Archive Trails" collection pays homage to wallpaper with flower vines; they come from a number of highly regarded archives, including English Heritage and the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester

Each design of Little Greene wallpaper has its own printing technique, including haptic surface pressure or a shimmering Mika base
